Neighbour disputes

When you have a dispute with your neighbour, it can be a very stressful time. 

We are experts at dealing with the following types of Neighbour and Boundary Disputes:

  • Obstructions/interferences of shared driveways or shared rights of access such as over pathways;
  • Boundary line disputes with your neighbours involving the correct positioning of fences, walls and hedges;
  • Access to your neighbour’s property for the purposes of carrying out repairs to your property.

Solving your Neighbour and Boundary Disputes

We will always try to solve your disputes as quickly as possible and without unnecessary animosity with your neighbour. 

The first step is usually for us to investigate your property legal rights by reference to your title documents and other documents held by the Land Registry.  Once we have identified your legal rights, we can write to your neighbour explaining what your legal rights are and what your neighbour must do to stop infringing your rights.

If a dispute cannot be resolved in writing with your neighbour, we will discuss with you your options for pursuing further legal action through the courts.
