Jordans Solicitors support Wakefield Hospice

Supporting wakefield hospice

Jordans Solicitors are working with Wakefield Hospice as our charity of the year with the hope of raising funds and supporting the fantastic charity that has been providing expert care to local people with life limiting illnesses for over 30 years.

We have already started several initiatives to support the Hospice. The private client team have joined the Wakefield Hospice Will Writing Service, by offering up staff time and expertise to write a Will for free every month in return for a donation made to the Hospice.

Staff at Jordans Solicitors are also organising fundraising events throughout the year, the first being an all-staff sponsored walk which took place on Friday 28th June where staff walked 10 miles in order to raise money for the charity.

Director and Head of the Wakefield office, Sukhbeer Shergill spoke of the charity work the firm is taking part in; “We are very proud to be working with Wakefield Hospice. They are an incredible charity and a hugely important part of our local community. We believe it is important for local businesses to support the community in whatever way they can, and for Jordans Solicitors, our support for local charities is one of the ways in which we do this.
We look forward to working with the team at the hospice and raising as much awareness and fundraising as possible.”

Emma Flannagan, Partnership Fundraiser at Wakefield Hospice said
“Having previously run ‘Make a Will Weeks’ throughout the year, we are delighted to now offer access to our Will Writing services all year round, thanks to generous participating partners like Jordans Solicitors. We are extremely grateful for the support of our corporate partners whose collaboration is vital in enabling Wakefield Hospice to extend its reach and offer more families in our community the support they need during their most challenging times.”
