Jordans Solicitors receives accolade for Risk and Compliance

LS RC

Jordans Solicitors are very proud to now hold The Law Society Risk and Compliance Accreditation after Compliance Manager, Sara Taylor, achieved the accreditation in January 2025.

The Law Society introduced the Risk and Compliance accreditation qualifications a couple of years ago. The qualification was developed in order that firms can demonstrate expertise in risk and compliance, legal practice and anti-money laundering.

After studying the twelve varied areas of compliance over the summer and using her previous experience and knowledge Sara sat the foundation exam in October 2024 and became accredited in January 2025.

The qualification is more than just the Law Society logo, which we can now display, it is a commitment to compliance throughout the firm and by everyone.  The areas that it covers are wide ranging and include conflicts of interest, client confidentiality, client identification, fraud management, cybercrime, supervision, file reviews, solicitors accounts rules, archiving and record keeping.

This was recently demonstrated when we passed an AML desk-based review undertaken by the SRA AML Proactive Supervision Team.

This accreditation ensures a focus on compliance by everyone in all that we do for our clients, so that our clients can be sure that they are instructing a trusted firm with an excellent reputation when they come to Jordans.
