Jordans Solicitors announce new Board of Directors and appointment of Associates

Jordans Solicitors are delighted to announce the appointment of 3 new Directors.

Jane Matthews, Gemma Hicks and Andrew Goulding will join Christine Sands, Sukhbeer Shergill and Susan Lewis on the current Board of Directors. 

Solicitor Jane Matthews is head of the renowned Abuse Compensation department, has over 25 years’ representing clients. She is a panel member of the Association of Child Abuse Lawyers and has been instrumental in changing the law relating to child abuse claims and in securing compensation for victims through redress schemes.

Gemma Hicks, who has been at Jordans since 2008, heads up the large Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence teams where she represents clients in high value claims on a national scale. She became the Head of Department in 2019 and under her leadership she has grown the team from one fee earner to a large department of 9 to service the increasing caseload in a short space of time.

Finance Manager Andrew Goulding joined Jordans in 2000 and gained his CIMA qualification (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants). He is also the firm's Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration (COFA) and will be the firm’s first non-fee earning Director.

Jordans have also appointed 5 new Associates from within the current teams. 

Emma Brocklebank, Care Solicitor who Heads up the Horsforth Office, Lisa McGirr, Deputy Head of the Private Client team, and Solicitors Lucy Copley (Private Client), Shaquille Kilbourne (Property) and Katie Taylor (Care), have all been promoted following their outstanding work.
