Susan is a Director, Solicitor and the Head of both the Litigation Department and Commercial Department.
Susan joined Jordans Solicitors in January 2010 and has over 23 years experience as a Solicitor, of which 17 years’ have been in Commercial Law.
She has considerable experience of acting for both commercial clients and individuals across the full spectrum of litigation and disputes. Acting on behalf of commercial clients this includes cases such as company or partnership disputes, contract disputes and debt collection, building and construction disputes and property litigation. In the domestic arena this extends to acting for individuals in such matters as neighbour and boundary disputes and contested probate and will disputes.
Susan also has considerable experience of drafting commercial contracts such as shareholder agreements and partnership agreements as well as bespoke contracts and terms and conditions. She is also frequently instructed on asset sale agreements and share sale agreements for clients.
Having experience of acting in relation to both contentious and non-contentious work, Susan has a unique perspective to client instructions which helps her to understand the commercial risks which they are seeking to avoid in the documentation which she prepares for her clients.
Susan is predominantly based in Wakefield but regularly sees clients in our other offices; Dewsbury, Selby, Wetherby, Horsforth and Penistone.
