Here at Jordans Solicitors, the communities that we serve are very important to us. We firmly believe that businesses can, and should, have a positive impact within the community, and as such, Corporate Social Responsibility is an important part of our firm and staff values.

 

Support for Local Charities

Each of our 5 offices have a dedicated local registered charity that they support each year. We are extremely proud to work alongside these amazing charities and support them in as many ways as possible, from fundraising to volunteering and raising awareness.

Supporting Local Community Events

We endeavour to support local events within our communities and regularly take part and sponsor local organisations, groups and events.

From supporting the Horsforth Choral Society to local schools, attending galas, summer shows and art walks, our commitment to positive community engagement is actively undertaken across all offices.

Wetherby Christmas Tree 2024

Jordans Solicitors are proud to have sponsored the Christmas Tree in Wetherby for the 2024 Festive Period.

Penistone Christmas Tractor Run

We donated a hamper towards the Penistone Christmas Tractor Run which took place on Saturday 30 November. All money raised from the event went towards the Woolley Wood School in Sheffield.

Selby Christmas Market

On Saturday 30 November, Charley Griffiths, Michelle Conway, Mark Crompton and Chris Thomson hosted a stall at the Selby Christmas Market. We held a raffle raising money for Selby Hands of Hope, as well as talking to the community about how we can help.

Mirfield Careers Fair

On the 8 November 2024, Solicitor Sophie Costello and Paralegal Alex Hewitt attended the Mirfield Grammer School careers fair. It was great to speak with students throughout the day, answering any questions and query's they may have had, and inspiring them about different careers in law.

Selby Oktoberfest

Solicitor Sophie Costello, and Graduate Apprentice Solicitor George Agar, had an amazing time attending the Selby Oktoberfest on Saturday 19 October. It was great to talk to so many members of the public and see some of the amazing pumpkin designs that everyone drew!

Kirkwood Cuppa Morning

On Tuesday 29 October we held a Coffee Morning in support of The Kirkwood. It was great to have a chat with everyone who popped in for some cake and a hot drink.

Penistone Agricultural Show

It was great to sponsor the 2024 Penistone Show again!

Staff Charity Walk

Our staff ttook part in a 10 mile hike around the Newmillerdam area in order to raise as much money as possible for our charities in June 2024, raising £600!

Martin House Children's Hospice Selection Box Appeal

We were incredibly grateful to local businesses who participated in our drive for the Selection Box appeal that we donated to the Children's Hospice for their Christmas Party.

Selby Hands of Hope

We were very happy to donate a couple of hampers to Selby Hands of Hope for their 2024 Easter Raffle.

Penistone Grammar School

Some of our team took time out to visit Penistone Grammar School and run a debate competition for 6th form politics and history students. What a great day and brilliant exercise for the students to be involved with!

Huddersfield Careers Fair

Residential Conveyancing Solicitor, Shaquille Kilbourne, attended the Huddersfield Law Careers Fair to speak with students about career opportunities within Law and the paths you can take.

Horsforth Choral Society

We have regularly supported local concerts with sponsorship, such as the Horsforth Choral Society concerts - a great event for the local community!

Living Well Showcase

Jordans Solicitors were proud to be supporting the Living Well Showcase at Lister Hill Baptist Church alongside Dementia Friendly Horsforth.

World Mental Health Week

In support of World Mental Health week 2024, our abuse team took part in the ‘Wear it Green Day’ to support the campaign to raise awareness for mental health.

Horsforth Art Walk

This year we once again supported the Horsforth Walk of Art where we were delighted to be host two fantastic artists; Kirsty Ellise and Dustine Ranson at our offices who shared their passion for mixed media watercolour painting and crochet. The Walk Of Art through Horsforth is a great community event where you can see artists at work, view their creations and take part in activities.
